Bear
Creek Lakes is in the Poconos, five miles from Jim Thorpe, PA. It is a rustic
community surrounding Bear Creek Lake. The lake has boating (for residents),
fishing and two sandy beaches for swimming. The community also has a huge pool,
tennis, basketball and volleyball courts.
Minutes
away is Penn’s Peak, which features national known entertainers and top-notch
dining. It is also known for its spectacular mountain views.
In the
winter skiing at Big Boulder and Split Rock are minutes away. In the summer
Beltzville Park with hiking trails, boating, fishing, swimming and picnic areas
is less than a five mile drive from Bear Creek Creek Lakes.
If you
decide to visit Jim Thorpe, you will stroll through its winding streets, find a
treasure of historical attractions, eclectic stores, old time trains and
excellent dining.
Our air
conditioned home is in a secluded area. It has three bedrooms and two baths.
There is a loft area with a futon, and a pull out couch in the living room. The
living room and dining room are combined in a vaulted great room with a
fireplace. There is a separate kitchen with a dishwasher and washer and dryer. A
large deck with a built-in wooden table and benches looks out into the forest.
Dogs are allowed.
