Dog Scouts of America is a non-profit, 501 (c) (3) organization, founded for educational and charitable purposes. We promote responsible pet ownership and the importance of the human/companion animal bond. Our mission is to make the world a better place to live, by teaching humane education, and having society, as a whole, place more value on the dog as a member of the family. We teach people how to cope with the "normal" dog behaviors that can cause problems with a dog living in a human "pack." We help people to identify and deal with dog behavior that could become problematic, like aggression, indifference and self-rewarding behaviors. Our web pages, newsletter, and Dog Scout Manual are educational materials that can be accessed by anyone who wishes to learn more about responsible dog ownership and activities that will improve the canine/human bond.

Individual - $25.00 - Includes Newsletter, Membership Card, DSA Window Decal (Static Sticker)
Certificates for Backpacking titles and community service awards are available to members. Members are also eligible to attend the fall and winter outings, and to join a troop in their area.
DSA Membership does not make your dog a Dog Scout.

Family - $30.00 - Membership for two people. Each additional family member is $5.00 (human, not canine-you can have as many dog "kids" as you want).

Contributing Member - $50.00 - Your active membership dues plus an extra $25.00 donation, which is tax deductible, will help Dog Scouts of America to continue to provide information via the web site, newsletter and discussion list.

Sustaining Member - $100.00 - Your active membership dues plus an extra $75.00 donation, which is tax deductible, will enable Dog Scouts of America to maintain its annual scholarships, "Good Scout" awards, and other forms of ongoing community education.
