Info from  Awareness Day Coordinator: Each year around the middle of September we hold our event, usually at the park in Lancaster county. The event is designed to educate the public about the horrors that the mills dogs face day in and day out until they have no use and are killed.  Many people come with their puppy mill survivors and most of us use it as a day to be with other people who feel the way we do.  There is always a dog walk into the heart of Lancaster and each year it grows bigger and bigger.  There are many groups who set up tables and give out their information. We always have speakers and talk about what has gone one the previous year and what we hope to accomplish the following year. The food is Vegan and it is free, kindly donated by Whole Foods.  Usually we have many more rescue people than we do the general pubic, but as each year has gone on, more and more of the public has joined us. This year the event is going to be held on 9/15 which is a Saturday and we will probably hold our candlelight vigil on Friday night but that hasn't been finalized. If you would like to have a table, there is no charge or if you would just like to join us this year and see what it is all about we would love to have you.  Everyone is invited. We have even invited Jesse Smith of Dog Law but are still waiting to find out if she will be allowed to speak.
